Spring

I think that it just may be safe to say that spring is finally here. The beginning of the week started out rainy and cooler but the last couple days have been AMAZING and seriously refreshing. We have been outside a TON and even opened the windows to let the fresh air in. Its amazing how sunshine and perfect temps can change your mood.

 

I think that this may be the best summer yet with Brayden. He is so excited to be outside and is seriously interested in all his toys. I have a feeling I may be living outside till winter. I am so ready for fun in the sun with my little man.  

He asks to play in his "house" everyday! He has played with his mower more in the last couple days than I think he did all last summer.  

 Chalk has been a huge hit again this year. Having Mama draw shapes and numbers is one of his favorite things to do. I can see my driveway covered in chalk all summer long. As I was taking his picture while sitting in his chair he says "Mama, I relaxin". The kid is always cracking me up.

Life Lately

Its officially spring and I feel the need to clean and freshen things up around the house. I need to reorganize, de-clutter and rearrange stuff. I would love a fresh coat of paint on the walls but I have been thinking seriously about moving at some point so not sure that's something I want to tackle just yet. Painting is a lot of work. So, I think I will just try and clean and rearrange things first and hopefully that will do the trick.

 We are definitely ready for warmer weather and exploring outside. We have had a very cold and snowy winter so we have spent a crazy amount of time inside. I know that we are in need of some fresh spring air and a change to our daily routine.

 

Life here lately has not exactly been going how I thought things would be going at this stage in my life but we are embracing the changes and are excited for what the future holds for us. 

Spring is finally here...

Spring is finally here...

A few weeks ago spring really showed its face with beautiful sunny 60-70° weather for several days. Unfortunately, then those beautiful days were quickly replaced with almost a week of rainy gloomy chilly days barely making it to 50°. That's spring for you in the Midwest. You never know what to expect and you know what they say...April Showers Bring May Flowers. I just hope the sunny spring weather keeps coming. We have been blessed to have a few more beautiful spring days to get the week started so we are enjoying what we can because the forecast is calling for more rain and cooler temps by weeks end.

This is the first year of really seeing Brayden "play" outside. Last year he was just an infant so he just sat outside and chilled. Its a completely different story this year. We do not have a fenced in yard where we live and its not even possible to have one so chasing this little guy around while outside is a bit exhausting. He is such an explorer so I have to be on my toes.

Here is how we have been spending these first weeks of Spring...

Brayden is definitely a outdoor kinda kid. He LOVES to be outside and often throws a fit when we have to come inside. He loves to run around and explore and of course play with the rocks.

 

This chair was the best entertainment for him the other day. He sat and watched the cars go by but had more fun getting in then out of it, over and over again.

Thinking of Spring

I think it goes without saying that many of us mommy's and daddy's out there cant wait for the warmer weather to finally make an appearance. I am in need of some fresh spring air and I know Brayden is just dying to play outside. I can't wait to get out for some walks and playing at the park and even our own yard for that matter. Spring is coming its just taking its sweet time getting here.

I am anxious for Easter and I can't wait to start some new traditions this year. Brayden may still not know what is really going on yet but I think he will have a blast running around the yard gathering up easter eggs with his cousin Skylar at our first annual easter egg hunt with my family. I have already started planning his 2nd Easter basket and found a handsome outfit for him to wear. Carters has some super cute outfits, I have my eye set on the sweater vest and plaid button up which will go perfectly with his super handsone blue boat shoes we have from payless. Have I mentioned how much I am loving boat shoes? I am a little obsessed with them. I am loving the turquoise, so fun and springy. I just hope I can find something for Mommy and Daddy to match him.
